The allure of glass captivated me at the age of fifteen, sparking a passion that would eventually consume my life. Through relentless practice, I honed my skills, deepened my understanding, and cultivated a strong desire to advance in my craft.

After graduating from high school, I embarked on a journey to Emporia State University, where I earned my BFA in Glass Art. Under the guidance of esteemed artists and through extensive travels to studios across the United States, my knowledge of the medium flourished.

In recent years, I have been fortunate to spend significant time in the remote corners of the Pacific Northwest, particularly in southeastern Alaska. My experiences in this far northern region have shaped my perspective both artistically and philosophically, providing a unique lens through which I now view the world.

In my current work, I aim to transform glassmaking—an art rich in intricate design and delicate craftsmanship—by exploring form and texture to evoke a primal connection to the Earth. I have long been fascinated by the incredible diversity of life around us, from microscopic organisms to the largest mammals. This fascination has deeply influenced both my work and my worldview.

For me, replicating nature is a way of paying homage to an intricate system of which I am a small yet grateful part.
